Anti-Freeze Membrane

Prevents Frostbite and Thermal Injury: An anti-freeze gel solution, usually including glycerol and glycol derivatives, is soaked into the membrane. This lowers the freezing point of the skin’s surface water, allowing subcutaneous fat cells to reach the desired freezing temperature ($-5^\circ\text{C}$ to $-11^\circ\text{C}$) and prevents ice crystallization in the epidermis. Ensures Uniform Cooling: By removing micro-air gaps between the skin and the applicator cup, the moist, conductive layer ensures uniform fat-cell apoptosis and even temperature distribution over the treated area.

Preserves Skin Hydration and Barrier Integrity: Skin-calming ingredients like glycerin, hyaluronic acid, or plant extracts are frequently included in formulations. Under extended vacuum suction, these avoid severe dehydration, erythema (redness), and skin tearing.

Enhances Vacuum Seal: During a 35 to 60-minute session, the machine is able to maintain a constant suction because the viscous liquid gel forms a tight seal around the applicator’s perimeter.

Maintains Hygiene & Equipment Longevity: Single-use, sealed packaging keeps melted fat/gel backflow from contaminating the cryolipolysis machine’s interior suction components and guarantees stringent hygiene standards per client.

Useful Advice: Membrane weight is important. Depending on the size of the applicator, standard membranes usually weigh between 70 and 110 grams. Using a dried-out pad or a membrane with inadequate gel volume greatly raises the risk of skin necrosis or cold burns.
